Forgot Screen Time Passcode? How to Reset Screen Time Password in iOS 13 on iPhone & iPad

Forgot screen Time Passcode? Don't worry, here in this article I am going to show you how you can recover screen time passcode on iPhone and iPad running iOS 13.

Apple no longer includes a screen time password in recovery backup. So if you are thinking of restoring your iPhone backup, then do not give a try and waste your time. It means that it is not possible to use a tool like Pinfinder, as you do in iOS 12.

So just ahead and check out the below mentioned steps:

How to Recover Screen Time Passcode in iOS 13 on iPhone and iPad

Step #1. Launch iTunes on your macOS or Windows PC. Also, make sure that you’ve taken an encrypted backup first.

If you are using Mac running macOS Catalina, then you need to open Finder from the dock.

Step #2. Go to Settings on your iOS device and then tap on your iCloud account name.

Step #3. Now, tap on “Find My” then tap on the switch for “Find My iPhone” or “Find My iPad” to disable it.

Enter Apple ID Password and tap on Turn OFF.

Step #4. Attach your iPhone or iPad to your computer using the Lightning cable.

Step #5. Click on “Restore iPhone” or “Restore iPad” in Finder.

By doing this, it will first download and flash the latest iOS/iPadOS firmware to your device.

Step #6. You will get a pop-up message asking if you want to back up settings before restoring. Tap on click on Back Up.

Step #7. Once the firmware update is completed, you will be asked to pick a backup to restore your iOS device from. Choose the backup you recently taken.

Alternatively, you can also erase all the content and settings. As it will take less time but for this, you need to take a backup of your device to
computer or on iCloud first.

Now Go to Settings app ⟶ General ⟶ Reset ⟶ Erase All Content and Settings. Enter your iPhone password. Once the process of resetting is done, you can restore your data using the backup you have taken before.

How to Disable Off USB Accessories Restricted Mode on iPhone and iPad

In iOS 11.4.1, Apple has introduced an amazing and most important feature for user privacy. This feature is known as USB Restricted Mode. If you activate this feature ON then, it will stop USB accessories from making data connections with iPhone and iPad if your iOS device has been locked for more than one hour. This might be a minimal edition for you, but trust me, this is an important feature and update by the tech giant. However, this option will block the tools used by law enforcement officials such as GrayKey box, to crack passwords and bypass Apple encryption.
