In iOS 11.4.1, Apple has introduced an amazing and most important feature for user privacy. This feature is known as USB Restricted Mode. If you activate this feature ON then, it will stop USB accessories from making data connections with iPhone and iPad if your iOS device has been locked for more than one hour.
This might be a minimal edition for you, but trust me, this is an important feature and update by the tech giant. However, this option will block the tools used by law enforcement officials such as GrayKey box, to crack passwords and bypass Apple encryption.
The option won't allow your device to communicate with the accessory or computer, and in some cases, it might not even charge your device. Furthermore, you may also get an alert to unlock your device to use accessories.
By default, this option is turned ON. But if you want to sync your iPhone with iTunes regularly, then you may need to turn OFF USB Restricted Option. So to disable USB Restricted Mode option, you need to follow below-mentioned steps:
How to Turn OFF USB Accessories Restricted Mode in iOS 13 on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Open Settings app on your iOS device.
Step #2. Tap on Face ID/Touch ID & Passcode.
Step #3. Now, enter the password.
Step #4. Next, go down to the ALLOW ACCESS WHEN LOCKED section and then toggle on USB Accessories switch.
From now onwards, you won't have to authenticate your locked iOS device when you are syncing your device with computer. Turning OFF the feature is more helpful when your iPhone is completely dead and want it to connect it to iTunes for restoring it.
That's it my dear friend.
